Hello [name],
Time is rushing by and another season approaches. Easter
has been and gone, the bunnies have run, I should say
hopped away, and the "Eggs" were all ate on
Easter day.
Fortunately, we were blessed with lovely weather for
the long weekend and that always makes us feel good
when we have time away from the daily grind of work.
Now we find ourselves heading well into autumn with
cooler weather, wonderful autumn colours in the garden
and a great time of year for food - it's all good.

Lamb
Shanks (using 'Vincon'
Prenzel non alcoholic cooking wine, and Rosemary
Infused and Butter
Flavoured Rice Bran Oils) served with Steamed
Cabbage and Tiramisu
made with Prenzel
Espresso Liqueur for dessert.
Now, don't say "uuuh! Cabbage!"

Facts about Cabbage
Did you know that cabbage is of the Brassica family
of green vegetables that are very nutritious? Cabbage
is an excellent source of Vitamin C. It also contains
significant amounts of glutamine, an amino acid which
has anti-inflammatory properties. Cabbages are also
a good source of Riboflavin.
Cabbage was known to the ancient Greeks and Romans who
praised this vegetable for its medicinal properties,
declaring that "It is the cabbage which surpasses
all other vegetables." - so there!!
Tough times never
last but tough people do
The last six months have been very hard for many of
us but here in NZ we have fared better than many other
countries. Better times are in sight and more positive
'vibes' are being spread - thankfully, New Zealand is
in better shape than many other countries.
Kiwis are adaptable, and from listening to many of you
we realise that being careful, eating at home more (less
dinners out) and shopping smart has become fun. Fun
because adventure with food is a very gratifying way
of self discovery and Prenzel is a key ingredient in
creative cooking. We're glad to hear that many of you
are enjoying the recipes we are offering.
