Botany Prenzel Shop Windows Win!
The Christmas trading period was a huge buzz for us with the shop being sparkling new to the Botany Town Centre and meeting such a lot of new people. One of the lovely and exciting things about our Botany store is our window space and the opportunity it gives us to display our products in fun and colourful ways. You can imagine the excitement when we were told that Prenzel Botany had won the "Christmas Theme" window dressing competition - Well! It was so exciting we all let out a little scream - as you do!
This year our window displays will be fun and exciting with the "theme" changing monthly.
Each month we'll be featuring different products that will reflect the time of year and offer recipes to suit that will be easy and delicious.

Buy New Zealand Made & Keep New Zealand Ticking
Like us we're sure you're sick of hearing about the recession, depression, tightening of the market and the many other terms used to describe the slump in our economy. Well, regardless of how much it is, or is not exaggerated, we Kiwi's need to carry on being positive and "doing our bit".
Here in NZ we have huge resources to help ourselves and our country if we are so inclined to do so.
New Zealand is blessed, not only with the ability to produce good foods but also with a wealth of innovative manufacturers who are proud of what they produce. The quality and variety of their products is world class - take Prenzel for instance - 20 International awards through 2007-2008 shared by 10 product items and 5 being for Blenheim Bay Gin.
At Prenzel of Whitford and Botany our preference to sell quality New Zealand Made products sets us apart from most other food specialty stores.
With recent publicity on second rate imported products and potentially harmful additives in some foods made offshore we need to shop smart. As proud New Zealanders we should be supporting our own infrastructure - BUY NEW ZEALAND MADE.

Prenzel Loyalty Points
Through 2008 we gained many new customers who have become Prenzel fans.
It was great to see lots of folk accepting your free product from our loyalty points system. We like to say "Thank You" and our loyalty programme is a great way to do it. All purchases made at our Whitford and Botany stores earn Loyalty points. When you have reached 15 points or more they can redeemed for Prenzel products. Check out the Points table when next in the shop and ask one of our lovely ladies how many points you have gained already.

Did you know?

'Wearing your heart on your sleeve' originated in the Middle Ages, when people would draw names out of a bowl to find out who their Valentine would be. They then pinned the name on their sleeve and wore it for a week.

In Medieval times people who could not write their names would sign documents with an 'X', and then kiss it in front of a witness as a symbol of sincerity. As time went by, 'X' became known as the sign of a kiss.
